You’re not just getting pavers laid down. You’re getting a patio that handles Florida’s drainage challenges without turning into a pond after every storm. One that doesn’t crack, heave, or separate when the ground shifts during hurricane season.
Most contractors skip the base work because it’s invisible. They’ll lay pavers over sand and call it done. Two years later, you’re looking at dips, gaps, and standing water because the foundation wasn’t built to last.
We install with proper slope—quarter-inch per linear foot—so water moves away from your home, not toward it. The base gets compacted in layers, not dumped in one shot. And we use materials from Tremron, Belgard, and Flagstone because they’re engineered for Florida’s heat, humidity, and storms.
What that means for you: a patio you can actually use year-round. No puddles. No repairs. No regrets.
We’ve been installing hardscapes in Weeki Wachee Gardens and across Citrus County since 1995. Same family. Same crews. Same attention to detail that kept us in business for 30 years.
We’re authorized contractors for Tremron, Flagstone, and Belgard—which means we’re trained on their installation standards and have access to materials most contractors can’t get. We’re also the exclusive Seal ‘n Lock distributor in the county, so if you want that extra layer of protection and longevity, we’re the only ones who can provide it.
You’ll talk to us directly. Not a call center. Not a subcontractor who disappears after the job. We handle permits, work with HOAs throughout Hernando and Citrus Counties, and we’re still here when you need maintenance or have questions five years down the road.
First, we assess your property’s drainage. In Weeki Wachee Gardens, most homes sit in areas where water doesn’t naturally move well. We identify where water’s going now and where it needs to go after your patio’s in.
Next, we excavate and prep the base. This isn’t a one-layer dump job. We compact the base material in stages to prevent settling. Then we add bedding sand, screed it level, and set the pavers with tight joints and proper slope.
Once the pavers are down, we sweep polymeric sand into the joints and compact everything again. That sand hardens when it gets wet, locking the pavers in place so they don’t shift or spread. If you’re adding Seal ‘n Lock, we apply that after everything’s cured—it protects against stains, weeds, and fading.
You’ll know the timeline before we start. Most patio installations take three to five days depending on size and site conditions. We clean up daily, and when we’re done, your yard looks better than when we showed up.
Ready to get started?
Every patio paver installation in Weeki Wachee Gardens, FL starts with a site evaluation. We measure slope, check soil conditions, and map out drainage flow. If your yard has standing water issues now, we address that before pavers go down.
You’ll choose from premium paver options—Tremron, Belgard, or Flagstone—in styles that range from classic brick to large-format contemporary designs. We’ll show you samples and help you pick something that fits your home and your budget without upselling you on features you don’t need.
Installation includes full base prep with compacted aggregate, bedding sand, edge restraints, and polymeric jointing sand. We handle all the grading, so water drains properly. If you’re in an HOA community, we pull permits and make sure everything’s compliant before we break ground.
We also offer optional Seal ‘n Lock application—an exclusive product in Citrus County that we distribute. It seals the surface, prevents weed growth in the joints, and keeps your pavers looking new longer. And if you’re military or a first responder, we offer a discount. It’s our way of saying thanks.
Properly installed pavers last 25 to 50 years in Florida, even with the heat, storms, and humidity we deal with. The key word is “properly.”
If the base isn’t compacted right or drainage isn’t planned for, you’ll see problems in two to three years—sinking, shifting, or pavers that pop out after heavy rain. That’s not the paver’s fault. That’s poor installation.
We use materials designed for Florida. Tremron and Belgard pavers are tested to handle temperature swings, UV exposure, and freeze-thaw cycles (which we don’t get much of, but the pavers are built tough regardless). The polymeric sand we use in the joints resists washout, and if you add Seal ‘n Lock, you’re protecting against stains and fading that come from Florida sun. You’re looking at decades of use if it’s done right from the start.
Not if it’s graded correctly. Drainage is one of the biggest issues we see in Weeki Wachee Gardens because so much of the area was developed on land that doesn’t drain naturally.
We slope every patio at least a quarter-inch per linear foot, directing water away from your home and toward areas where it can absorb or run off safely. If your yard already has drainage issues—like standing water near the foundation or a low spot that floods—we address that during the base prep phase.
Sometimes that means adding a drainage channel, adjusting the grade beyond the patio, or integrating the patio into a larger drainage solution that includes your landscaping. We don’t just lay pavers and hope for the best. Water management is part of the installation, and we make sure it’s handled before you ever see a problem.
The base. That’s where corners get cut, and that’s where problems start.
A cheap job skips proper excavation, dumps sand without compacting it, and lays pavers as fast as possible. It looks fine for six months, maybe a year. Then you start seeing dips where the base settled, pavers that rock when you step on them, or gaps that let weeds grow through.
A quality installation takes longer because the base is built in layers. We excavate to the right depth, compact the aggregate base, add bedding sand, and screed it level. Edge restraints go in to keep pavers from spreading. Polymeric sand gets swept into the joints and compacted so everything locks together.
You’re also paying for materials that last. Tremron and Belgard pavers cost more than big-box store pavers, but they’re thicker, more consistent, and backed by warranties. We’re authorized contractors for both brands, so we’re trained on their specs and held to their standards. You’re not getting the cheapest option. You’re getting one that won’t need replacing.
Yes. We work with three major manufacturers—Tremron, Belgard, and Flagstone—so we’ve got access to hundreds of styles, colors, and finishes.
If you’ve already got hardscaping or a specific look in mind, we’ll bring samples to your property and show you options that complement what’s already there. Want a classic brick pattern? We’ve got it. Prefer large-format pavers with a modern look? Those too.
We also design patios that tie into the rest of your outdoor space. If you’ve got a pool deck, walkway, or driveway, we can use the same pavers or mix materials to create contrast without clashing. And because we handle full landscape design—not just hardscaping—we can integrate plantings, lighting, and irrigation so everything works together. You’re not coordinating three different contractors. It’s all handled under one roof.
You don’t have to, but it helps. Sealing protects against stains, fading, and weed growth—and in Florida, all three are real concerns.
We offer Seal ‘n Lock, and we’re the exclusive distributor in Citrus County. It’s a penetrating sealer that soaks into the pavers and the polymeric sand in the joints. Once it’s applied, spills from grease, wine, or rust don’t soak in as easily. The color stays more vibrant under constant sun. And weeds have a much harder time taking root between pavers.
Sealing isn’t required for the pavers to perform. They’ll still last decades without it. But if you want your patio to look newer longer and spend less time scrubbing stains or pulling weeds, it’s worth the investment. We typically recommend sealing after the pavers have cured for 60 to 90 days, and then reapplying every few years depending on traffic and exposure.
Most patio projects in Weeki Wachee Gardens run between $15 and $30 per square foot, depending on the paver style, site conditions, and any extras like sealing or custom patterns.
A basic 200-square-foot patio with standard pavers and straightforward drainage might land around $3,500 to $4,500. A larger patio with premium materials, curves, or significant grading work can run $8,000 to $12,000 or more.
What drives the price up? Drainage issues, difficult access, or the need to remove old concrete or pavers first. If your yard slopes toward your house or you’ve got clay soil that holds water, we’re doing more prep work to make sure the patio doesn’t flood or settle.
We’ll give you a detailed estimate after we visit your property. No surprises, no upselling. You’ll know what you’re paying for and why. And if you’re military or a first responder, we offer a discount—just let us know when we schedule the consultation.
